    4. A new page will appear. Select ‘Apply for IEC’ from this page.
    5. Click on ‘Register’ and provide the necessary details. Then, click on ‘Send OTP’.
    6. Enter the OTP received and click on ‘Register’.
    7. After successful OTP validation, you’ll receive a notification containing a temporary password. This password can be changed after logging into the DGFT website.
    8. Log in to the DGFT website using your username and password.
    9. Select ‘Apply for IEC’ on the DGFT website.
    10. Complete the application form (in ANF 2A format), upload required documents, pay the specified fees, and click ‘Submit and Generate IEC Certificate’.
    11. The DGFT will generate your IEC code. Once generated, you can print out your IEC certificate.

    Proof of establishment/incorporation/registration: This applies to the following types of firms:

    • Partnership
    • Registered Society
    • Trust
    • Hindu Undivided Family (HUF)
    • Others

    Proof of Address: Acceptable documents for proof of address include:

    • Sale Deed
    • Rent agreement
    • Lease deed
    • Electricity bill
    • Telephone landline bill
    • Mobile post-paid bill
    • MoU (Memorandum of Understanding)
    • Partnership deed
    • Other acceptable documents (for proprietorship only):
    • Aadhar card
    • Passport
    • Voter ID

    Note: If the address proof is not in the name of the applicant firm, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the owner of the premises, in favour of the firm, along with the address proof, should be submitted as a single PDF document.

    Proof of Firm's Bank Account:

    • Canceled Cheque
    • Bank Certificate

    The user should possess an active Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) or the Aadhaar of a member of the firm for submission.

    Additionally, active firm bank accounts are required to enter the account details in the application and to make the online payment of the application fee.
